Galaxy Launch Slot Tour With $3.5 Million Prize

Macao casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. will start a slot machine tournament on Aug. 23 with a prize of HK$27 million ($3.5 million).

World Slot Master of Macao operates twice a month over five months in the Pavilion High Limit Slots area of the Galaxy Macao Casino Resort in Cotai.

The event will be the second in a series of events marketed as the World Master of Macao and aimed at members of the Galaxy Privilege Club.

On July 24, the Galaxy launched the World Baccarat Master of Macau, an eight-month baccarat competition with a prize of HK$41 million, and it was also sold to Galaxy Privilege Club registrants.

The club is for casino operators' most valuable customers and regularly includes offers such as a Rolex watch or a prize draw for Mercedes Benz cars.

Raymond Yap, senior vice president of People's Galaxy, responsible for premium market development, said other World Master initiatives will include food and beverage offerings and events and entertainment in a speech at the start of the baccarat contest. 파워볼게임
